![]() That out of the way how good is Intel's RST raid configuration? Is it a decent option for 2 drives? Does it use a noticeable part of my cpu ? I also like to mention that i backup my data regularly so in case of a fail i shouldn't be affected by much. I like the idea about one unified 4tb drive with some speed benefits over 2 separated drives, i plan on storing on them games, music movies and doing downloads. After a lot of research i decided to skip a 4TB in favor of 2x2TB drives, it just seems more reliable (and it costs the same), with the 4tb drive if it fails I'm left without anything but with 2 disks the chances of both of them failing are smaller.Īfter remembering about raid and reading about raid 0 i really want to do it, i have a gigabyte z170 motherboard and an i7 6700 processor, and i plan on using an ssd for an OS drive and use the 2x2tb hard drives in raid 0. ![]() Hi first of all i would like to apologize for bothering you guys again.
